Meet our Nurse Practitioner

Gloria Bird FNP-C (Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner) was born and raised in Uruguay. In 2004, he moved to Memphis, TN, thanks to an academic scholarship and the support of his parents.

She graduated from Christian Brothers University in 2008, completed her nursing degree in 2010, and eventually earned her master's degree from the University of Memphis. She was one of the first Latinas to graduate from said program. Currently, she remains the only bilingual licensed cosmetic injector in Memphis, and surrounding areas.

 

In October 2021, he founded MetroMed, initially only providing cosmetic injectable services. A year after starting her then mobile company,  she decided to leave her full time job, and dedicate herself to the expansion of MetroMed

With over a decade of healthcare experience, her goal was to provide quality services, at honest prices. She disliked the "rushed" feeling of primary care, and the pushy sales of traditional med spas.

At the request of her patients, services began to expand beyond Aesthetic Medicine, and MetroMed morphed into a complete wellness practice, with services that currently include: weightloss, IV infusions, hormone optimization for both men and women and functional medicine.

 

Due to its unique relaxed, yet attentive and personalized atmosphere, MetroMed managed to expand beyond Memphis, TN into 12 other states, via telemedicine and currently continues to grow.
