What are GLP-1s?
Semaglutide and Tirzepatide are glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonists, originally intended for the use of diabetes. Recently, they have been approved for weightloss prescribed as an adjunct to a healthy diet and exercise regimen for weightloss

Is Semaglutide a new drug?
It is not, it has been on the market as an injectable since December 2017.

Is Tirzepatide a New Drug?
It is a newer GLP-1 it was approved by the FDA in May, 2022.
How much weight do patients loose on average?
In clinical studies, tirzepatide resulted in a weight loss average of 16.3%-19.3% and Semaglutide resulted in an verage of 11.5%-13.4%.

How do I administer Semaglutide?
Semaglutide and Tirzepatide are both administered once a week, with an insulin syringe. You will be provided education into how much and how to inject It is very simple to self inject, just like a diabetic injects itself.

Who should not use GLP-1s?
If there is a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MENS2), kidney failure/problems and or Type I diabetics.

What are the most common side effects associated with Glp-1s like Tirzepatide and Semaglutide?
The most common side effects of Semaglutide include nausea, diarrhea/constipation, feeling bloated, heartburn, belching, dizziness, vomiting, and upset stomach. This tend to appear more with the higher doses of the medication, thats why all patients will start on a low dose and be increased monthly, in order to tolerate the medication.

How long does it take to receive the medication?
In person patients, same day. Telemedicine 5-7 business day. Please understand this also varys according to the volume the pharmacy is experiencing.
Semaglutide is dispensed by our contracted pharmacy. Current delivery time is 5-7 business days approximately.

Do you accept insurance?
We do not, out cash prices include the visits, medications, personalized plan, labs when needed and accsess to our nurse practitioner.

How do the medications work?
They will delay how food passes through your stomach, making you feel fuller for longer, and decrease the portion size ingested, as well stabilize sugar levels which will lead to fewer cravings.
